To be a sculptor, is to play in material reality to infiltrate it with our thoughts, its to push ones dream into it, when other art forms withdraws the dream contained in reality.
20 years of adventure, of dreaming sculptures and making them come into shape, observing the light reflecting on the surface, seeking or transposing proportion, thickness, dimension, asperity, that will make them loyal to their spirit, to what they should be.
20 years of confrontation, of research, of experiments, of tests, of realizations, ten monuments, tens of exhibitions, and presence in several countries, perseverant work, but never resolved, confronting reality, trying to domesticate the metal which is since the bronze age subtracted from earth in order to serve man and eternalise his presence
Bronze, pored like blood in a mould, solidifies when cooled, leaving the mark of our existence, he is nervous like life, resistant like the passing time, indifferent like death.
It is for these qualities that he allows the connivance between the human soul and the physical world.
It is that game of proportions, of vacuum, of plenitude, of rough or tense surfaces, of the massive or of the fragile, that is the alphabet of the sculptor who is looking for the magic of art, to create an object of power is the goal to share one's experience of living, of discovering, its choosing to stop time in a work of art to overcome one's existence.
To give it all back, is to learn to die with a smile, because if art is the signature of man it is also his mirror.
Matter is energy, that energy concretised in a form becomes intention , attitude , that energy behind the face, the personality moves our existences from the desire of having a will, to the will of having a desire, between instinct and thought.
Each sculpture tells a story, a dream their understanding gives a meaning to the work without interfering the presence the energy of it!
To concretise oneself in a work of art is a pact that the artist passed with life in a way to express one's gratitude or one's rejection.
As the erosion of elements and time give a shape to a mountain, a sculpture owes its shape to the emotion of a sculptor, thoughts and feelings have their shapes, but the purpose of this dialogue with reality has a sense only in the real dialogue, with an other human being.
As its to share ones vision that leads to the fulfilment of art.
